About TrICA
Jon Swarthout, founder and artistic director of Children’s Dance Institute (CDI) is excited to introduce you to Treasure Valley Institute for Children’s Arts (TrICA)!

Nestled in the heart of Boise’s Historic North End, at the corner of 14th and Eastman Street, a diamond in the rough awaits transformation. Built in 1907 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Immanuel Methodist Episcopal Church is a magnificent edifice, with all of the space, light, and possibilities that our children’s programs deserve.

TrICA is not merely a space!
Within this building, TrICA will offer a place for children to grow artistically and share their experiences through performances and outreach to the community at large.

TrICA, will be home to Children’s Dance Institute and Open Door Children’s Theatre (Vashti Summervill, Artistic Director). And as we continue renovations additional programs will become available: the Heart Song Music Studio, an outdoor children’s garden, a library brimming with the best in children’s literature, studio space for visual arts, puppet shows, storytelling, cooking, and more!

TrICA is a world of creative opportunities!
An exceptional group of caring teachers will lead students through our programs focusing on relationships, experiences, and the power of artistic communication. TrICA will also be available for many valuable community activities and gatherings that need a welcoming, dynamic space.
